Comfort Aquatics was founded in April 2017 and opened with 11 children at our Ealing locations. Since then, we have grown each and every term and now offer swimming lessons to over 1500 children across Hounslow, Ealing and Harlow.

We offer group lessons with a maximum of 4 swimmers in each class along with private lessons for 1 or 2 swimmers. We also offer parent and baby classes along with Pre-School classes with no parent in the water. The learn to swim program our award criteria is taken from is The Swim Teachers Association, (STA)

We offer fun and structured swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. We pride ourselves on being leading specialists within our field and offer small group and private lessons

 

ADAM COMFORT

Co-founder & Owner

Adam Comfort - Co-Foudner and Owner of Comfort Aquatics

With over 25 years’ experience in the swim industry Adam prides himself on getting the best out of all our swimmers. During his career Adam has helped develop swim programs for a range of abilities throughout Surrey and London and spent 11 years as a Virgin Active regional and national manager.

Adam is also a Triathlete coach, Open water coach and now tutors the STA Swim instructor qualifications to not only offer the course to anyone but help build great teams.

Adam is also a Brand Ambassador for The STA (The STA, (the governing body of swimming) and works closely with the team offering support on courses, developing qualifications and school visits.

Interesting fact: Adam has completed an Ironman, has summited Kilimanjaro and hiked up Mt. Everest base camp.

LOTTIE COMFORT

Co-founder & Owner

Lottie Comfort - Co-Foudner and Owner of Comfort Aquatics

As well as being a busy working mum Lottie is also Comfort Aquatics Financial (brains) Director behind the business.

Lottie got into swim teaching by volunteering as a helper at a SEN swim group and is qualified across two national aquatics bodies and has a wealth of experience instructing swimming and teaching the younger age groups.

Interesting fact: Lottie completed The London Marathon in 2014 and holds the Princess Diana memorial award for her charity work.

 
 

TAMMY SHELTON STONE

Swim Manager

After swimming at club level, Tammy became a Qualified swimming teacher and after having a family, worked for many years supporting young people with social barriers to learning and used her swimming knowledge to develop their individual needs.

For the past 6-years Tammy has been supporting our Team of instructors and the development of all our swimmers. She's a nurturer and passionate about children’s development at their own speed!

Interesting fact: In her spare time Tammy loves nothing more than spending time with her family, being in her garden, visiting gardens and enjoying a traditional afternoon tea! ‎

CHLOE BROUGHTON

Swim Co-Ordinator

Chloe has held many roles within leisure and has vast experience in management, coordinating and sales. 

Initially Chloe approached the Princes Trust to support her progression through Better Leisure where she had many roles throughout the operations department and became a General Manager. 

After this Chloe was a Recruitment manager for 2 years and then moved into becoming a PE teacher across numerous sites within North London 

Most recently she was been managing swim programs for leisure centres across Essex and now has brought the wealth of experience to Comfort Aquatics to help grow and progress our pools at Freshwaters and Burnt Mill academy in Harlow.

In her spare time Chloe loves nothing more than a long walk with her family and dog. In the future Chloe hopes to move into the Coaching world too, developing the competitive side of the sport and our future stars!

SHANICE CHAPMAN

Parent & Baby Specialist / Head Instructor

As Comfort Aquatics parent & baby specialist Shanice provides the support & knowledge that go into our very fun but educational parent and baby / pre-school schemes of work and lesson plans.

As head instructor, Shanice supports our swim teachers and facilities including helping parents with any questions or concerns, helping our staff with classes, lesson planning and overseeing the swim school’s goal of helping as many children as possible in their early swimming journey in a celebratory and comfortable manner. 

Shanice has been part of the swimming world for over 25 years and has been teaching/coaching swimming for 10 years. She was also a semi-professional swimmer for 8 years and her favourite swimming event is the 200m IM.
